Capex Recruitment are working in partnership with a manufacturing firm based in the Tyrone area on the appointment of a Buyer.

Responsibilities in your new role:

• Work with a continuous improvement mindset continually improving forecasting techniques for long lead items, optional parts and kanban supply whilst managing cost saving projects
• Manage a portfolio of key suppliers, developing & maintaining relationships whilst continually monitoring performance
• Negotiate best price and lead times with suppliers ensuring all materials are on site, on time to meet production demands
• Provide monthly supplier forecasts based on latest S&OP information
• Release of orders to the supplier network based on current demand
• Provide accurate and timely monthly reports
• Provide analysis and suggest actions on current stock holding

What you will need to succeed:

• A minimum of 3 years purchasing experience within a fast paced, manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP as well as all Microsoft Office packages
• Proven track record of success with implementing cost saving projects
